Who We Are and What We Do

Unity for a Better Community (U4ABC) is a 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 2001 with the mission of effectively engaging adults and youth in a process that improves their economic and social status within their respective communities. We create networks of capable and interdependent enterprises and provide thorough training in leadership and business principles that provide real-world solutions to poverty and dependence. Our education, information, and processes create communities of owners, not one of consumers with no stake in their surroundings.

We aim to provide not only information that will help people become productive entrepreneurs, but provide the impetus for change. Our goal is to eradicate ignorance and replace it with economic empowerment and knowledge.

U4ABC’s approach is to assess each situation, community, and project to determine the best possible resources to construct and deliver a viable solution.  We believe that education and preparation are the cornerstones of positive change, and through our network of experts and trainers provide a wide range of workshops and courses geared to train existing and future community leaders. 

We are also geared to action, and spearhead whatever activities are necessary to support our mission.  We utilize Success-Networking to expand our reach, and stand ready to lend our support to other organizations that share our mission and principles.

 Change from dependence to inter-dependence must begin with a mindset change. To this end, our adult and youth programs provide experiences in community activism and Success-Networkingä, as well as leadership training.  

U4ABC provides education and information programs different from anything you've ever experienced. 

We combine learning and doing, and insist that you demonstrate a willingness to "do" before we say you're done.  And after that, we continue to provide support to ensure that you follow through.
